He also launched the highly successful agency, Liquid, a bespoke agency that won dozens of local & international awards. Roanna is a self-styled creative activist with a career of pushing for work that actually shows up and makes a difference. She believes in ideas people talk about, not ones that survive 15 boardroom rounds and become wallpaper. Former Chair of the Creative Circle (and first woman), she’s championed a braver, less boring industry, and continues to mentor through Open Chair. Her simple rule: if everyone’s comfortable, it’s probably wrong.STUART WALSH
BOUNDLESS STRATEGY
Stu was supposed to be a lawyer or psychologist, but after graduating from Wits, stood in the wrong queue and ended up in advertising where he has been ever since. Despite being in entirely the wrong career, he has done okay, winning numerous APEX and Effie awards for effectiveness as well as creative awards from his time as a Creative Director, before he succumbed to the Dark Side and became a strategist.
He is one of very few strategists in the world licensed to transport explosives.
